Savannah, Ga. (WJCL)- Umbrella will be needed at times today. There will be scattered showers or thunderstorms after 3 pm. The best chance for rain will be after sunset with downpours are possible.

Models are showing some areas picking up near one inch or rain. Lots of clouds are in the forecast throughout day with highs in the lower-80s for most areas and mid-70s at the beach. There will be breezy east winds this afternoon.

There will be scattered showers tomorrow mainly before 12 pm. A strong cold front will push the rain and clouds off the coast in the afternoon. So, there will be clearing skies throughout the afternoon with breezy southwest winds. Highs on Thursday will be near 82˚.

High pressure-system will build into the area on Friday. Models are showing beautiful fall weather Friday through the weekend. Temperatures are going to be pleasantly warm with highs in the low to mid-80s.

Models are showing much cooler air will drop south by early next week with lows in the 40s by next Wednesday and highs in the lower-70s.

Tropical Storm Karl is just over 100 miles east of the coast of Mexico in the southern part of the Gulf of Mexico. Karl will drift north today then turn south by tomorrow.

Karl will make landfall along the coast of Mexico by Friday. Other than Karl there are no other tropical development in the Atlantic for the next 3-5 days.

Thursday: Cloudy with Showers Before 12 pm Then Becoming Mostly Sunny in the Afternoon. High: 82.

Monday: More Clouds than Sun with A Few Afternoon Showers. High: 80.

Tuesday-Wednesday: Mostly Sunny and Much Cooler. High: 70-74.
